Leannah has lived in Palo Alto for over 50 years and has been an active REALTOR® representing Buyers and Sellers of residential properties for over 30 years.
She has been recognized as a Top Producer consistently over the years since first being selected as Rookie of the Year for the former Palo Alto Board of REALTORS® now merged as Silicon Valley Assoc. of REALTORS® (SILVAR) covering the Redwood City south to Saratoga and Los Gatos communities. She has served for the past 6 years as a Director of the National Board of Directors for the National Association of REALTORS® representing the 4800 members of SILVAR in formulating policies and issues which affect homeownership and property rights throughout the U.S.
She is a graduate of the GRI-Graduate Real Estate program, a Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES), a Certified Negotiation Specialist, and E-Marketing Specialist as well as a Diversity and Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS). She was President of SILVAR in 2008 and also honored that year as REALTOR® of the Year. She was previously selected as REALTOR® of the Year in 1998. She received the Honor for the Spirit of SILVAR award in 2018. She currently serves as a Director of the California Assoc. of REALTORS® Board of Directors as well as a Trustee of the state Realtors Political Action Committee and on the National Board as a Director, member of the Public Policy Committee and Consumer Advocacy Outreach Advisory Board as well as a member of the SILVAR Board of Directors as the NAR Director.
She has been an active member of the Palo Alto community and served on numerous Philanthropic Boards including The Garden Club of Palo Alto, Gamble Garden Board, Abilities United now Gatepath, Family Services Mid-Peninsula now Caminar, Junior League of Palo Alto-Mid-Peninsula now Sustaining member, and is a past President of The Jane Lathrop Stanford Middle School PTA.
Leannah has been a member of the Palo Alto Chamber of Commerce for over 25 years and has been a member of the Palo Alto Rotary for 19 years.
Born and raised in Palo Alto, Laurel attended Walter Hays Elementary, Castilleja, Palo Alto High School and UCLA. She has an intimate understanding of real estate and the local markets as she has been exposed to the real estate business her entire life. She has twin boys in middle school and is deeply rooted in the social fabric of the local community.
She has focused on building her business by providing the highest standard of integrity and implementing a strong work ethic year after year. Given her emphasis on creating and building strong and positive personal relationships with her clients and fellow REALTORS®, Laurel has earned great respect in the industry since joining her mother, Leannah Hunt, in partnership in 2005.
Laurel understands that buying or selling a home is likely one of the largest financial and emotional decisions people make in their lifetime. She shares a warm empathy for her clients, believes that every relationship is unique and will adapt to her clients' individual needs.
Prior to formally entering real estate, Laurel earned her degree in Political Science from UCLA and gained significant marketing experience as Director of Outbound Marketing for CNET Networks.
She is a member of the National and California Association of REALTORS®, the Silicon Valley Association of REALTORS®, and is a Graduate of Stanford University's Negotiation Strategies Program. Chair of Sereno Palo Alto’s 1% For Good Charitable program, selecting non-profits to benefit from the program.
Laurel currently resides with her husband and children in Palo Alto.
